Hi all! I just picked up a slightly used 07 KLR 650 in Black and Silver and was advised by friends that this was the place to be! Only 3200 miles on her for now and I am already itching to mod her. I just purchased a Lexx slip -on as it came at a great price and from what I understand you don't get a whole lot of extra ponies with the higher end stuff anyway. I really just want her to growl a little so I can hear it better . I plan on adjusting the carb out 2.5 turns and possibly doing the side port airbox mod I seen here from 07. I plan on doing mostly street riding as the trails here have been hijacked by the DEC. There is a master plan in place to convert her to more of a super motard bike. This is my fifth Kawi and only second Enduro. The first being an 04 KLX400 which was a great bike but kinda small. The PO gave me a new doo hickey along with the gaskets and a new style spring that requires drilling. I plan on doing that soon. I would greatly appreciate any tips or advice on getting the most from the least...cash that is....Thanks!

Welcome Leadsled- you are in the right spot.

Get some pics of that 07 on here. We have great vendors too for bash plates, cargo racks, Doo Hickeys, it's all here or you will find the source around here for the most part. The search feature on this site works darn well too.

Just ask someone here if you need help posting pics- there are free sources like Photobucket dot com if you need help resizing pics and copying hosting code for sharing images.
