There has been no rain, or even much of a winter, here in the whine country of Northern California. So this January 8th, with about a 68 degree tempature, I rode upvalley and found the mustard in bloom already. Poor plants don't know what to do around here. All the wineries are really getting worried about this year.

It's the speedo cable. You can put some electrical tape on it if you want. It should be okay.

Those photos are hard for me to look at with that fish-eye lense.
Nice bikes though!

OK Glenn, we can do that..............
Open invitation for KLR's to come up to Northern California and ride Highway 1. And assorted back roads attached to Hwy 1. I took off from Napa for a day ride last week. Headed up Hwy 29 to St Helena, stopped for coffee (and a little chain adjustement in a parking lot) continued up to Calistoga, then headed north on Hwy128 thru the Alexander Valley. This hooks up with Hwy 101 at Geyserville. North to Cloverdale and another coffee stop to decicde on east or west, and the coast was calling. Headed west on 128 to Booneville (last gas stop for a while, but not an issue with a KLR) and from Booneville I took Mountain View Road west toward the coast. This is a narrow winding road thru the redwoods and it drops down to one lane in places so be careful on the curves. Mountain View Road comes out at Hwy 1 just north of Point Arena so you can adjust your ride north or south from here. North will put you toward Mendecino and Fort Bragg, Eureka, Oregon.... or south will take back down to Point Arean, Gualala, Jenner, Bodega Bay, San Francisco, Monterey/Carmel, LA, San Diego.... You get my point. I took south to the Point Arena Light House, had lunch at Bones Road House in Gualala (wa-la-la) which is very biker friendly. and then south again to Stewarts Point-Skaggs Road that heads inland toward Healdsburg and Hwy 101 again. Great loop ride or side trip for those passing thru...........See you out there. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us Will these work?

Brand new the site. Have an '08 with 17k miles on it, bought it almost exactly a year ago. Here are some pics of a camping trip over memorial weekend in the Tahoe area. Hope you enjoy!
