Default Is this right...check out the clutch cable job

I replaced my clutch cable (09) but where it connects to the clutch release lever (or shaft) seems a little weird. Is the shaft supposed to sit up (about 1/8 inch ) above the case? When putting the cable in, if the shaft was flush with the case, it was turned too far to the left to attach the cable. It seems to work fine but it just doesn't look right. Take a look at the pic.

The shaft that goes through the case hooks to the head of a pin through the center of the clutch and pulls the pin to disengage the clutch when you rotate it with the clutch cable. When you rotate it 10 degrees or so to the left (counter clockwise) and notice that it will drop down, it can then also be pulled straight up and out of the case. It can be reinstalled bu pushing it back in while turned to the left and then turning it to the right until you feel it connect with the pin.

Yeah looks like mine also, except for the rubber boot.
Yeah
i dropped mine and thought what the heck (had the cable off to lube) but it seemed to seat right back where it's supposed be and clutch works fine.
