Yup.

Just the other day. Going slow down a steep hill in super-soft dirt and gravel mix.

Narrow trail. Had to pick her up and walk beside her down most of the hill from where I dropped her, to a more level spot. I couldn't get back on! The hill was just too steep!

My lesson learned: Don't be afraid to sit that butt down and use your legs for stability sometimes!

I've been searching for that MSF off-road course to open up here. (and the advanced course) No luck.

20 feet into the test ride. Right in front of the owner. It had 333 miles and not a scratch on it. Until then anyway.

Best to get it out of the way sooner rather than later.

One of the first things I put on the KLR was Crash Bars. Glad I did. Lost count on how many times it's been on its side. Thank God all at stops or under 20mph and no serious injuries.

I have the Happy Trails crash bars. You have to buy the lower section that also has the highway pegs on it. I got them because the other ones I was looking at didn't look as sturdy and was told they vibrate more.

I had the Acerbis handguards on it. A couple of months ago I put on Barkbuster Storm guards for more rain protection.

I attached a couple of pictures. The pictures of the crash bars in the garage are from 2009. Me with the bike on laying on its side is from 2010. I was happy to walk away from that one with just bruising. The rear wheel flipped out from under me. It threw me to my left onto the weeds about 5 feet from the bike.
