Talking Re: .22 cent mod

I finally got around to doing it, along with polishing the slide and carburetor mouth and opening up the airbox. I was pleased with the overall results. It was like finding the midrange power that had been left behind when I re-jetted. Unfortunately I wasn't patient enough to isolate the mod, but some well placed tape can eliminate the difference caused by doing the airbox at the same time.

I wound up undoing the 22 cent mod, because with my current jetting 38/125, it's too rich. It appears that most of my performance improvement was from the opening up the airbox, with no apparent decrease in performance from undoing the 22 cent mod. I suspect the 22 cent mod would more effectively benefit a bike which has retained the stock jetting.
