I just picked up a fat girl.
I just picked up a 2012 KLR yesterday. I first registered on this forum in June 2008 so it took me 4 years to finally stop looking. I'm a SoCal 50 year old former pro motocrosser so this is a big departure from my current 2009 yz450 and my sv1000s.

Oh, it's way different from what you're used to, but "people of a certain age, or mindset" will quickly begin to appreciate what the KLR has to offer.
I recently had the opportunity to buy a new bike. Needed to trade one. The options were to give up the 2008, very well farkled KLR, or the equally well endowed F800GS. When the dust settled, the KLR was still in my possession. Love that bike.
