i dont race yet, i just ride trails mostly enduro stuff actually. i was surprising a tonne of people with the 94 klr 250 though.
they all had their new bikes (oldest being a 04) with outputs of 30 - 90 hp and theres my lil 17hp bike. then they stopped laughing when i was keeping up with them, when i drifted it for 70m at 50km/h. and then when i was overtaking the husky 510s and ktm 450s and the like. then i had a decent crash and the bikes still not ridable. but getting there. look in the 250 section if you want to see what i did, its in the 650 shock onto 250 thread that i made.

Thats awesome! We put on a ride last week, and a fellow rider had a KLR250. he had it loaded down with camping gear, and he is not a small fellow. So he takes it on the toughest off road sections we had. I was very impressed! He also has a KLR650, but he enjoys the 250. Now I can see why!![]() Bummer about your bike being down, I take it you were alright?

yeh im fine lol. got a small scrape which i attached a photo of it 8 days after.
you can see where it went out to, as its new skin. i heal quickly, and never seem to break anything on me ![]() got many many bruises though. lol when i drifted it, i got it so sideways and leant over that my brand new rear no longer has the little hair things on the very outside knobs. many people dont quite get how versatile the klr jr is. if you ever come to aus you will have to drop in. im getting a 650 in the next 12 months hopefully so can tour, or if your up to it go trail riding :P i wonder how hard it would be to make a trailer for the 650 to carry the 250. ride to the trail ride then swap bikes.

Personally I am a fan of one bike, but we all have different needs.

yeh only thing is if i kept the 250 as a dirtbike, and the 650 as a road tourer, use the 650 to trailer the 250 to the rides, and the go home again lol. would be something to see if anything. or make an insulated hotbox cooler thing and deliver pizzas. lol. ok back ontopic.

yes, i think so as well, but i dont have the money to pay for them lol. and re the trailer idea. i think if i do it, i will make it a sidecar. that way i dont need to get it registered. and can still just clamp on and off. saves having 2 wheels, saves needing to set up a pivot section so that i can still lean, and also can mean i can make it wider.
