Hi all, my name is Tim and I have a bike problem!!
Been riding since 1966.....you would think I would be good at it by now ![]() Picked up a 1999 KLR a week ago today, 12,500 on the clock, guess there are some mods to do ( ya, I been lurking) I am a beemer nut so you will probably get sick of my chain questions. The KLR is my 40th bike Current stable in my signature.... the beemers were all bought new. This puppy is parked until it gets a doo and valve check but from what little I've ridden it, it's a hoot.![]() I doo ride year round when possible, and the KLR should make it more likely, got the full Gerbings and all, lookin at that 400 watt stator real serious like. Here is this old fart (me) on the K12 the day Shawano lake froze over in 2007 ![]()

Welcome to the family, from one old fart to another, Tim. You have me on numbers of bikes, but I've got about 5 years up on ya for riding years... I've lost track of how many bikes over the years, but it's nowhere near 40!
I think you'll enjoy the simplicity of the KLR after all of those Beemers. And they are a hoot to ride! ![]() Have a great weekend & stay in touch. Jon |
