Its looking less like I will be able to make it, unfortunately. Still a maybe, but chances aren't good.

Great pics! Must have been a really nice ride. Could I get some information concerning your front fender and panniers/rack system? They look awesome! I would like to do something similar on my 09... Thanks. Ed.

Ed,
The front fender is just a cheap UFO universal that I got from somewhere I don't remember, (but here's a link to another place that sells them). I think it was around $25. It is mounted on a fork brace (not a good one) that I think I got from Happy-Trail. I drilled & tapped it, mounted the fender, then mounted the brace/fender assembly. The hardest part was tapping the brace. All in all I'm happy with it, but I think it could be problematic in heavy mud. I don't really have to worry about that here though. The panniers/racks are Al Jesse. I love the hell out of them, super-high quality gear, but they are NOT cheap. Here's a link: http://www.xplorermoto.com/o2klr650.html. I hope this helps. --Garuda

Do you have the details on the mirrors? where you got them and how well do they work?
