One of the things we did for my forum, was create a mobile version that is iPhone/BlackBerry etc... friendly... Basically, we created another "skin" (my admin guy is a master at code) and with a little tweaking, we ended up with this:
Regular Forum: http://www.mudinmyblood.net/forum/index.php Mobile Forum: http://www.mudinmyblood.net/forum/index.php?styleid=5 however when viewed from the phone it doesnt span out like that, it's all just straight down the page... You can click "get new posts" (link at the top) and it will return in a list view, only the threads that have been updated since your last visit, making it very easy, and that much faster, to browse through the forum. Try it from your berry or iPhone if you have one. It's very fast and mobile friendly. to return to regular view click "full site" bottom left corner. Is getting something done like this for the KLR forum Possible? I'm sure my guy would be willing to help out if your admin needed it. Last edited by T-TownRider : 11-06-2009 at 09:56 AM. |

If there's a style I can download that is more suitable for mobile devices, let me know and I'll install it.

It's something he custom built for me. From the skin that we use. I'll talk to him about it. I'm pretty sure the code can be exported to XML file, however you would have to go in and change the font, etc.. if you wanted, and I'm not sure on colors, if it would take on your properties, or not, pretty sure it would. The top and bottom color bars I know you'd have to go in and edit b/c they are set specifically to match our skin.
