Actually, I think I would have been better off with no hands on that turn and just rode right through the middle of the big bush like Jeffer did. I wish I had that move on camera.

Crap, I just noticed the other guy beat to that brilliant observation.Hope your ribs and ego are ok. I seriously didn't see anything that would have caused that fall either. I liked your video - short and had some interesting action. Nothing worse than watching 10 minutes of some guy riding a dirt track with nothing special going on. Every vid need jumps, wrecks, or hot chicks. The best have all three. Last edited by dahveed : 11-06-2009 at 11:18 PM. |

I'm happy to say, and also not happy to say... that I have become somewhat of an expert of "ejecting" from my bike, doing a roll while landing and ending up quickly on my feet and staring at the bike. I would advise NOT going at "fast" speeds through tall grass when you don't know what kind of ruts may be present.
That's when off roading. When a spill happened on road at 35 mph in a turn in the rain, I basically pulled off a pop up slide into 2nd base. There was a red pick-up right behind me when that accident happened, the last he saw me I was on the bike, when he came around the turn I was standing over the bike probably scratching my helmet. Must've been odd to see that. |

Lucky it didn't happen in Western Washington, where wasting coffee is a misdemeanor punished by a strong 'dope slap.'
Coffee is almost as important and good beer. ![]() I cracked or dislocated ribs twice since late June. Both times working on my motorhome, nothing even remotely related to having fun. But as Prez. Bill was quoted as saying, "Ah feeel your pain!" The dislocated rib was kinda funny in an awful way--I not only felt it move, I heard it!!! I've had enough trouble with ribs over the years, I don't even go to the doctor any more. Codeine helps, heck Advil helps--but mostly time is what heals ribs. Fell off the Transalp once and did 3 or 4 ribs and bruised a kidney. Peeing blood is really scary! (the first time anyway.)
