I have wondered why we can't power them off of the bikes power fuse block, extra block that is. That is regulated down to whatever the correct voltage is.
Having to constantly be buying frigg'in batteries is what stopped me buying this little camera. It is almost perfect if you can also add a either remote switch for single pics or a external switch to do the same. Yep..I ask alot...but I see no reason one of our electrical wizzes can't figure the voltage issues out for us....but not having the camera in my sweaty hands I can't comment on the remote switch issue.
Just came across this on ebay-
Switching regulator power adaptor

This looks like it should fill the bill for you- Run right off your bike's power and provide the power to your battery operated device all day. For under $10 it's done.

Wingerr, Thanks for taking the time to search that out for us. I just ordered one and will make a post here when I get it installed an checked out. If it works, I'll order more of them as I have two camera positions on the KLR and one on the Nomad 1600 and one on the Goldwing.

But you could probably put in a connector on the input side and output side so you could change from bike to bike and also the camera... we'll see.

Now that I'm about getting all this worked out for the 5mg GoPro's here they come with the HD version and I'm gonna have to have one of those also. Never stops does it?

Just make sure you adjust the output for the voltage you need before hooking it up to your camera- I'm not sure what their default voltage setting is, so be sure to check it with your DMM first.
I'd just add connectors like you said, so it can just be moved around as necessary. It's small enough that it should be easily portable.

You'll just want to get a small box to put it in, should be easy enough to find something to fit, maybe like an altoids tin or something.
