Same principle, but the knot is different. A hay baler is much more simple, can be tied in seconds (and if done wrong will bind up tight!).

Wow. I feel so out of place on this one.
Am I the only one using a Negative Gravity Pulser to keep my stuff attached to the bike ? I typically use more bungees than would be required just in case the first ten happen to give up on me. Maybe I should get some straps .....

Someone here said rope doesn't stretch,... ??? Uh, yeah it can, depending on the rope, of course. That's the problem, so many kinds of rope, so, what are you rope aficionados recommending?

Maui wowie is some fairly good rope, IIRC. Other'n that, whatever you have.

I carried this PC from one work site to another, about 7 miles apart. Stayed on <35mph roads, but a cargo net and 7+ bungees kept it in the case...er, WalMart cooler topbox.
