I just got activated on this site. I have ridden most of my life since I got my drivers license, first bike 305 Honda Scrambler, then a 400 Kawa, then a 1979 Goldwing, then a 100 Kawa, I now have a
TW 200 Yamaha, and my new 2012 KLR 650. My son and I plan on going to the Canyons Lands in Utah this fall, he has 2011 KLR 650. We plan on hauling them down in my pick up truck. I live in central Washington State and work for WADOT as signal technician. I plan on retiring next summer. I enjoy rock collecting and studying geology, I have three grown children and three grand children, and I am a Mormon.

when i say "welcome to the madness" i mean that in a wholesome way. i suspect your son may already understand if he's owned his klr for awhile.

that's quite a collection of 2-wheeled machinery you've owned over the years. i'll bet your klr quickly becomes one of your favorites.
