Default Why green ???

On the "vote for your favorite color" thread. I noticed...speaking of '08s...that green was overwhelmingly the most popular color.

Why ? (dunno)

Is it loyalty to Kawasaki's original colors ? Or does everyone really like the looks of the green one better ? Notice that ONLY on the green machines...the back side plate is black. So there's not much green on it actually as compared to red or blue which carries the color on it's back side plate...(fenders also).

Blue was the second favorite color and last red.

Personally.....just looking at pics on the web....I like red best BUT..........I plan to purchase a green one !! (how's that) I've never seen a green one but I am convinced by the vote that it is the coolest looking of the three.

Green it is.

Quite simple really. Wind tunnel tests have proven that the friction coefficient factor on the red and blue models actually reduces top end speed by 3 mph, and increases vibration at lower speeds, therby reducing the longetivy of rigid mounted parts. In addition, in hot climates the red and blue absorb more heat which actually causes the plastic bits to overheat and deform. In temps above 90 degrees the front fender will actually curl under itself causing it to rub on the front tire. This in turn overheats the front tire which may cause the fuel line to combust resulting in injury or death. I have done extensive research on this and am doing a community service by bringing this to your attention.

Personally for me it was the Black Fenders and side panels. I just think it looks good with Silver and Green. The red and blue had a little too much red and blue for. Just my opinion.

I have been all over the map on this. Red looked really cool. Then I thought blue looked nice. But in the end, I went with tradition. Red reminds me of Honda and blue Yamaha. Green? Well, it's a Kawi. And I really like the green and black contrast. Plus you prolly already know that it makes better gas mileage, does wheelies without effort, is faster and can jump alot higher too.

Yoda is kinda wrapped up in that whole force thing... I personally think that no matter which letter is used to spell the color... its the KLR letters that make us all brother of the bike together!

Originally i wanted to go green and paint the fairing black.
then i liked the red, then my dealer got a blue one in so i bought it, a week later they got a red one in and i was glad i went with the blue.
I'm not crazy about the green for two reasons one is because it's not really traditional Kawi green and the other is because it looks like something is missing with just the fairing green. What i do like about the green one is the silver and black. Basically i guess i'm all over the place on this one

I'm with you on some of you thoughts. I think....on the green one....the fenders should have been green and they should have carried the green onto the side plates. Just like blue & red.....only green. Instead you get only a splash of green on the fairing. (I'll bet 9 out of 10 people don't even realize that or notice it).
