I keep toying with the idea of getting the tall Kawi shield, but as it stands, at 6'5" tall the wind off the stock shield hits me in the middle of my chest. I'm not sure that moving it up to my neck would be a significant improvement. I can tuck down behind the shield to get out of it, but that puts me in a very awkward position. Maybe tucking down behind the tall shield would be a better compromise?

Just installed the tall Kaw OEM winscreen. As I am 6'3" not sure if it helps much or even makes it worse.

Decrease in body wind but moved the wind up to helmet so much more noise.

Only 30 miles on it so will try it for a few weeks before I decide to keep or remove and put stock OEM back.

Summary: Looks better, better body arm protection, seems to have much more wind noise at helmet.

I haven't bought my 08 yet but my concern is that I am about 6'6" and have had concerns about wind buffeting at highway speeds. From your experience how does it feel, what about cross winds?
Thanks
Josh

Just got the tall Kawi windshield on my bike last night, and boy what an improvement. Well worth the dollars. I'm 6'-0" with a 32" inseam. I didn't notice any more or less noise around the helmet, but the wind blast to the chest has been virtually eliminated.

One thing that kind of shocked me though, is the rubber sleaved nuts that attach the windshield were beat up pretty bad (only a 1000km so far), and the new windshield didn't come with new ones

I installed the california scientific tall shield today and it works great. To make it work even better I wedged some foam between the dash panel and the windshield so as to angle it up a little higher. I am 5'9".

I have a cal-sci windshield coming this Friday??? I am 6'2" tall and needed more protection so I went with the taller windshield. It is a long ride and a lot of bugs between upstate new york and Utah!
I will sell my +4 Kawasaki windshield for $75...which will include mailing it to you. I will enclose the sales slip that shows, with tax...it cost over $90.
I will mail it to you and you can send me a check/money order back when you get it.
I will make sure that I wash off all the bugs!!!

The thing is a work of art. It was too loud as delivered and I had to add the P4 silencer insert they sell. With that the sound is good, but overall it was a bit more expensive than the White Bros. piece.
