Thumbs up Aftermarket CS windshield

I recently acquired an aftermarket windscreen from "California Scientific" am I am impressed with the difference over the stock screen this 'shield made. First, it is the smallest of the three manufactured by Mark Lawrence. It is a full 8" taller and three inches {+/-} wider than stock. Whether you are going 20 mph or 80, there is little to no buffeting, calm conditions and very little noise. We have the ability to adjust the screen in one of three different settings and I tried mine in the lowest two positions. This 'screen, gives me the protection to ride in sub 40 degree weather. It is definately worth the asking price of $150.00. Go to:
www.Sales@CalSci.com. Ask for Mark.

That will be my next purchase! This is the one I am going to get I think.

It was 29-degrees yesterday on my ride to work and I was thinking it would have been nice!

I just received a windshield from CalSci. It is the extra large. It it 11 inches taller than the stock shield. If you are one of those folks who likes a lot of protection , this is the shield for you.

I am 6 feet tall with 32 inch inseam. With the shield in the lowest position, I look over the shield, in the highest position I look through the shield.

The protection is great, better than on my road bike.

The nice thing about Calsci, is that Mark will work with you to get the right height for you. Very friendly.

No affiliation, just very happy with the product and the service.

August thanks for posting your height and inseam (happens to match mine) since these are the tell tells of how you sit behind the windshield.

I believe California requires the rider to see over the windshield though I have not heard anyone getting a citation for not being able to see over their windshield.

California Scientific seems like a very good vendor and manufacturer. Anyone that will exchange and item without making the buyer feel like crap is on my Christmas list.

The CS offers more height if needed, but for my 5' 7" height the Givi works great for me. Here's a review of some Versys screens:

Exactly my measurements and I adore my California Science windshield. I bought the tallest as well. Very nice looking and extremely functional and a heck of a good deal since it costs less than the half-a-size smaller Kawi tall shield (and it's not on back-order like everything else in Kawi accessories for the Versys.

Look! A short post this time!
