I have a whole set of Army issue bags (thanks to all you tax payers) but I would never treat my Army stuff the way I treat the stuff on my KLR. Although if you look befind my back you will see my Army issue sleeping system it's more gooder than most other bags.

The Purple chair (my tent is orange in the gray bag) is so I can find my scooter in the woods, it blends in very well. The dayglow gatorade is so the purple doesn't get lonely.

We have the same sleeping system in the Corps. I like it but if you take both sleeping bags and the bivy sack with you it takes up a lot of space. The summer weight bag and the bivy sack are pretty good space wise. The low temp bag sucks up lots of space.

looks good ! I've been thinking of having the frame and related parts powder coated OD green, photo shopped my KLR and it looks pretty good that way.

New Bern is just a stones throw from where I was last stationed down in Havelock. Some great riding areas down there if you don't mind sand in the crotan forest.

I was stationed at MCAS New River for 4 and half years............I hope I never have to go back. The coast just isn't my thing. Neither is the swamp. Combine the two and you have coastal NC. Everyday I cussed that place. Come outside it smells horrible usually and the humidity is always so high if you go outside for even a few mins you feel like you need to take a shower. Yuck. I'm stationed in Tx. now and couldn't me happier

On the plus side living out there the Dragon isn't that far and you have the Croatan Ntl. forest area 140 miles to the west that has some great riding.

I've been stationed at Cherry Point now for eight years now and hate every second of it. Every time I request orders they either get denied or I get moved to another unit on Cherry Point.

Ughh that sucks. Got a guy here that used to be powerplants like me he's at school here to be a seatshop mech. Pretty cool guy.

I was production control at MALS-26 for 2 years and I know how much that sucks. I'm not a powerplant mech anymore now I'm a flight equipment mech. Weeeee a needle pimp LOL.

Why is everyone doing traditional military camo schemes? Last I checked, digital camo and hunting/digital picture camo worked quite a bit better than traditional schemes. I did my bike in TrueTimber Mixed Pine and it blends amazingly well with the forests of Colorado. I'm pretty sure even the military's latest digital wouldn't work as well. Of course, I was going for true stealthiness...some have called my bike flaming, while I know they would think OD green or traditional Woodlands camo would "look" better to their eyes.
