Nice looking bike. I'll be flying to Munich in August for a Motorcycle tour of the Alps. Third time there on a bike. My favorite place to ride. Great roads and scenery.

Martin,
That's a very nice looking bike, I really like the look of those Tengai's. Where are you at in Germany? What kind of riding do you have there? (I don't suppose you take that one on the autobahn much) It's been 25 years since I visited your country, but my son is flying to Frankfurt in two days.

Actually, I am going on the Edelweiss Extreme Alps tour. We'll leave from Erding (good local beer) and head South in to Austria, then a brief trip into Switzerland, then down into the Tyro region of Italy and Dolomites. The tour is set up to ride some of smaller one lane passes with some gravel. No chase truck so we will be carrying our out luggage on the bikes. They don't offer KLR's so I chose a 650 Vstrom. Thanks for the tips.

Welcome aboard Martin. That is a very nice ride you have. I am hoping to make the trip to Germany in about 2 years to do an Edleweiss tour as well (Sally I am so jealous)l. It is on my bucket list and I intend to make it my 60th birthday gift to myself.

The rear lamp looks like one from yamaha xt, but the plastic is ... hm you cut it in some way? The rear part of the bike is wizually lighter than stock. Plate fastening from R1?

You did the front windshield yourself or bought a "plug&play" one?

You've inspired me, I know what I will be doing in winter.
