Nice Seat, good investment.
Vendor worked well with me on the turn around time with me needing a very quick shipment with a pending trip. Seat arrived quickly (next day - yes I paid for the overnight/express ship) and it arrived on a Friday; my departure was Sunday morning. With the help of my sewing-saavy wife she gave me some tips combined with the instructions and taking my time the seat was installed. This is a great product, worth the investment. My wife, daughter and sons have commented on its comfort also.
Comparison: Cant compare to the stock seat. Stock seat cushion is a different cut and rounded on the top, not flat all the way across, not as supportive for the longer rides. Additionally I had opportunity to have a BMW R1200GS for a week while the KLR was in the shop and I loved the seat cusion (it was a little too dished for me but the cusion was the right consistency). I compared it to the Seat Concepts cushion. Seat Concepts is very close if not right on.
I like the flattened seat, narrower in the front and wider towards the back. It is slightly lower but not too much. the narrowed front no longer has the blood cutting off in my legs. I will say that I cannot ride in any seat for more than a couple of hours because I have lower back problems and I need to stretch the muscles (one reason I will not by a "day long", so I will be stretching every 80-120 miles to help decompress my spine. But this seat has helped to improve the comfort and minimize the "monkey-butt" feeling from riding a long tme.
Installation is easy following the instructions, just take your time. Having an air-compressed stapler is a benefit but it can work with a hand stapler but you have to apply a lot of pressure. I found a video (cant remember the link) that helped me install the seat. It was replacing the seat on an MX bike but the concepts were the same. If I find the link I'll post it.
You cannot beat the price with the quality you receive. My thanks to the vendor for offering a product at a great price.
