Sounds good. Where you shopping? I used GPS City.

The Michigan weather finally allowed some rides with the Garmin GPSMAP78. The executive summary is, I like it a lot and would recommend it for any dual sport application.

At first, I was a little frustrated as the interface is so different to my old GPS12 as well as the Garmin Nuvi that I'm used to. But, it did not take long to get the hang of it, and now the interface makes sense. I understand this is the interface on all Garmin handhelds. Also, the website gpsKevin Adventure Rides really filled in the blanks of the Garmin users manual (which is marginal at best!)

This morning, I downloaded and installed the Michigan Topo (free) from GPSFileDepot. This really expanded the GPSMAP78 capabilities.
