Thumbs up Cheap GPS Units

Hi Y'all, I don't know if anyone's suggested it yet but you can buy a GPS from dx.com for around $50. It's not water proof but is full featured & will run pretty well any GPS software but Garmin & if you dump your bike & trash it you're not out a ton of money. I have a 5 inch that I paid around $80 for 5 years ago & it got me right to my son's front door who lives 500 miles away. So far it hasn't let me down. It'll run on a battery or power port & comes with a suction mount & power port cable & you can hook up a rear view camera that has a mini USB plug & a 2.5 mil microphone plug. Hey! Beats losing a $1000 GPS from accident or theft.

I think my Garmin cost me $100 with complete maps of North and South America. It was used off ebay.

I use my $90 car Tom Tom every day at work and with a RAM mount on my bikes. Hard to see in sunlight but gets you where you're going. The vibration from my Harley hasn't affected it and I haven't used it off road in the dust. Major downside is it is not waterproof and it always seems to rain at the end of a long trip when I need to find my final destination. I have to pull over and cover it with a ziplock bag or remove it when it rains.
I've seen a few bike specific GPS on ebay deals of the day recently $3-400.
