Howdy!---------think I just might be able to make this one--- one of the items on the to do list is change the spring on the rear shock -- do you or anyone else have a set of spring compressors for that project?

I don't have an actual tool but I've improvised before. Maybe some else has one to bring.

I have some brake fluids on hand. Trade 'em for the brats.

Smile Re: SgtMarty Tech Day September 2012

I'm hoping to join in on the Tech day. I'm moving to Denver next year and I'd like to meet some other KLR riders . Also want to get some tech time learning a few of the Mods that are scheduled.

My bike should be arriving from AZ sometime this fall if I can find a place to put it.

Let me know what I can bring etc. would like to help.

Thank you.

The oversize brake disk kit itself does not include the steel brake line. Either mod will show a difference; both together will be much better.

I don't have a wide band. Maybe someone else will have one.

For anyone showing up, we'll have some water, sodas, snacks on hand. There will likely be something to throw on the grill, but we'll have to wait and see who shows up with what. Emergency pizza can be managed.

Those who are also thinking of bringing a beer or three are encouraged in your thought process.

Hi all!

I'm hoping to come to the tech day with my '12. I was thinking the Doo should be the first....Any other suggestions....I was on the eagle mike website and not sure which doo kit to buy. If I buy the basic kit am I going to be able to complete it? I've never done any of this work before. Do I need to buy any of these tools? Torsion spring? Rotor bolt? Gasket?

Thanks and I'm looking forward to the tech day!!

Tools will be at the tech day. You'll need the basic doo kit with rotor bolt, and I recommend the torsion spring. I have spare (new) gaskets here that others have left for anyone who needs them.

You can ask Mike to ship your parts directly to my place if you want. Either way he'll get them to you quickly.

For those in and around the Denver area, I will be riding down to the tech day and any are welcome to join. I usually leave around 8-8:30, and in this case I think I will be having B-fast at the Denny's on 104th & Grant St's just East of I-25 at 7 am.
Usual route is I-25 to Sante Fe (85) and on to Sedalia, so I can 'pick up' any along that route if you don't wish to go North. Eta around 9-9:30 at Marty's.
