Default KLR Savy shop recomendation in Denver north area?

Been away from the forums for quite awhile, and riding the KLR as well...
I attempted to have Sun rework the Carbs, but that lasted 2 rides and she is running like crap and not starting again...

Does anyone know and can recommend a place i can take my 99 KLR 650 in for a good tune and tweak?

Would love to do it myself but, but working 60 hr weeks are killing me...
I hope to me taking the bike to AZ next month for some well deserved vacation and desert riding, but she needs to actually run first....

Thanks in advance

Dan / Hawke

I know of non in N. Metro denver. I wouldn't trust Sun any further than I could throw a fat man.
Now, on the point of the carb, it's a CVK 40, perhaps one of the easiest ones out there to rebuild and tune.
You might try Pro Motorsports, but they are a small "do all" shop, so I'm not famililar with their familiarity with the KLR, but I have seen a few in their shop.

Haven't used either shop as I live down south but have heard good things about Colorado Powersports on 104th. Also Rocky Mountain Kawasaki in Longmont.

Have heard nothing good about Sun.

Wow, I have my 7,500 mi checkup coming where I think Sun will/should adjust my valves. Hope they don't jack it up.

Guess I'll come crying here asking for a tech day if that happens!

Before I knew of this site, I took my 06 to sun for the valve check/ adjustment and I gave specific instructions as to the clearances. They didn't write it down, although it was on the work order.
When I got it home, I pulled the tank and the head was still dirty, with undisturbed dirt around the bolts. They lied. They never touched them. Just after that, I went to my first tech day, and got the help, and they were indeed out of spec.
Sun service people lie. And I know of a H-D guy who had a similar experience.

While not really "north", I trust Jim at TFog wheel sports in golden with about anything bike related...
