A new addition, only needs minor work. I'm Not keen on the color scheme, but I'll take care of that this winter. The yellow fork boots have GOT to go. ugh!

I am SO jealous, Jeff!
Mine is a little XT 225, '93. 5200 miles and runs strong. I put on a new chain and grips, that's it. And its street legal.
That little bike will do 65 +! And it's electric start, so the daughter is very happy. The older XT 250 is kick start and can be a bugger to start for the uninitiated.
The 225 is also a 12 volt system, the 6 volt 250 is very limiting to do anything with electrically speaking.
And there's a fair amount of aftermarket stuff for it, a Clarke 4.2 gal tank, a couple of better seats, and better pegs and racks.
All in all, a nice little trail bike I can carry on the back of the Jeep.

That sounds pretty cool. Since I sold my KLR, I might start looking for something smaller & lighter in a year or 2.

The Serow is a neat little bike. A friend picked up one exactly like yours that had been sitting for many years. He brought it to me to help get it running again, which I did. Kind of made me think about adding a smaller bike to more easily carry with me in my truck or Jeep.

Jeff, thats a nice bike. I wondered why we're not seeing any activity here on the site and posting of rides, etc. Congrats on the new ride, but kind of sorry to see you leave the KLR clan.
