My brother just bought one. Black. Nice looking bike. Haven't ridden it yet.

I want to like this bike, but just can't get over the front fairing/headlight assembly; It's really ugly if I may put it bluntly. Makes my '08 KLR look like Pamela Anderson.

Buz, I agree with ya! I HATE the "Transformer" looks that is appearing on so many bikes/trucks/cars now. Gimme a nice "old looking" Pre-08 KLR!!

In prespective, I did not buy a new 2000 or 2001' can't remember when they changed it, because the front end of it looked like a baboon's ass to me. The younger crowd I worked with loved it. Now after years of seeing them on the road, it's not so bad. Same thing has happened with a few models to me.

BUT, the AMC Pacer and AMC Matador are still the uglest things ever built to this day. Allways was and allways will be.

I ment to say 2000 or 2001 nissan frontier had a baboon's ass.

And the front fairing of the Versys isn't exactly hiddious. It's new age. Change is inevitable.
As bad as it hurts, change or go the way of the dinosaur. Extinct.
The Versys is a really good looking machine to me, and it fills a gap. I get to keep 606's on my KLR, and commute on a Versys.
Have they jacked the price up yet?

The mag pics don't do this bike justice. See one in person for the non-believers. Now that I own one......

I think the whole bike looks great, its got the look that you like right away or you don't. Been thinking about a '08 KLR but now the versy has my attention.

I actually LIKE the headlight, though it feels like I am in the minority. To me it looks unique when compared to all the "cat eye" lights that seem to be all over sport bikes, the Stroms, and even the 08 KLR. THe one on the versys reminds me a bit of a fighter or helicopter. Of course I do HAVE a brand new versys so I am POSSIBLY a bit biased.

Me too and I am not young. I would like to see something other than red in the USA. Maybe green or yellow or orange for CA 2009.

Message to Glen' all OT. I have seen a way to start a poll, but I can't find it now. I am holding a tech day at my home, and I wanted to have a poll from involved people as to the best weekend. Can you direct me on how to do this?

All the best, John

Create a new thread, and above the submit button there should be an option that says "Post a poll" and a place for you to enter the number of options you want.
