Default Eagle Mike's and Sams 762 Stroker kit!

Like to thank Mike and Sam for letting ride the 762 stroker kit Gen I KLR 762 bike.
This motor was hella fast and surprisingly smooth.
It was fitted with a 17 tooth CS and I was still able to throttle wheelies with no clutch.
This is exciting news for the KLR family.
As you may or may not know, he's ordered some Pistons for testing and a dyno with a water brake.
Keep an eye out on his site for more details.

I'm sure it won't be cheap. I still want it though.

From EM's homepage:

Quote:
We showed the running KLR762 for the first time. This is just a proof of concept, a few parts thrown together. It runs and sounds just like a stock klr650, only MUCH stronger. We have a small batch of pistons on order. It will be at least 6 weeks before we can test those. THERE IS NO PRICING INFO AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. WE WILL NOT BE OFFERING COMPLETE ENGINES, OR ASSEMBLING ENGINES. We will likely make some changes to the piston design after we test this batch. After we've proofed the production process, we'll announce pricing and other details. This doesn't use a cylinder spacer, looks like a stock engine on the outside. It does require an aftermarket cylinder sleeve, and a stroked crankshaft. This means splitting the cases. The piston is specific to this project. No other piston can be used.
Not sure if i'll ever convince myself to spend what I imagine will be $1,000 or more to do this. But it's something to drool over.

Also interested to see the dyno numbers on it, since Mike's getting a dyno too.

It's definitely not for everyone. Especially considering the work needed to install the mod.
All I can say is, I have one of the fastest KLR 692's that Mike and myself did a full rebuild on (upper and lower) and it has all the peripheral mods, and the 762 kit with none of the peripheral mods and a 17 tooth CS simply blows my 692 away. So much throttle response and torque in all the gears.
I have a plated CRF450R and the 762 feels similar (considering) under acceleration.
It's just that good. As are all of Mike's products and mods.

I keep saying it, " There's nothing Mike makes or sells that doesn't work".

Super excited with his other projects also.
