Default Canada Day panniers

I was looking to upgrade my baggage from having a lot of canoeing drybags bungee-corded on my mount, and I ran across some racks made by a guy in Langley, BC. I thought they looked like a great setup (you can find them on e-bay or on the net - a place called dualpurposebikes.com). In a moment of total spiritual clarity, after a long ride and a couple of beers, I ordered the racks. I then thought about making it an all Canadian solution (mostly wanting to avoid shipping and customs brokerage fees) and found a guy in Calgary who sells panniers under the name Dirtbaggs. Ordered a set of those and put the two together. Photos attached. Great experience with both both suppliers. Makes the ass end look fat, but one step closer to being fully setup for next year's TransCanada trip and our 2014 PanAmerican. Have made a few rides around the area and, having never used hard bags before, I was surprised that it was not very noticeable that they were there. Have tried a few loads and it actually makes the bike feel more stable. Will load her up tomorrow and head out for a few days camping.

They do look good. Here's one dealer in Calgary who stocks them. I've dealt with Mike for years and he's very good to deal with.
