Default 1994 Kawasaki KLR 650 Barbie First Gen (PAID)

1994 Kawasaki KLR 650 Barbie First Gen

Have lost my workspace/storage space and need to thin my KLR herd. This 94 Barbie starts, runs, rides, looks and drives nice. The getting rare turquoise plastics are very presentable, the graphics are bright, no tank dents. This is a pretty bike especially for being 23 years old!

Bike has about 23,000 original miles but the original gage cluster was trashed. Replaced with a working one showing 47,000. One of the pictures show the original cluster with the original mileage. The only known defect in the bike is a leak from the output shaft seal. A new seal and o ring are included in the sale. I have lowered the price to allow for the new owner repairing this. Like I said, no place to work on the bike anymore. Passed Texas inspection last week. Clean title in my name; licensed and being driven today.

A few of the other additions include IMS driver footpegs, Happy Trails Paris-Dakkar crash bars/tank guards with touring pegs, Happy Trails sidecover protector/soft luggage support, an aluminum skid plate and HD handguards. Please look the pictures over carefully to see the other additions and accessories that have been added to enhance the capability of this very nice Barbie. The pics show it wearing both a black seat and the original purple one. Buyers choice for color. As a bonus, I will include the 2 factory service manuals, a Clymer manual and a CD with digitized copies of the dealer microfiche covering the years 1984-2007.

So there it is. Nice first gen, pre-Thai built (2002) KLR 650s are getting hard to find. Junkers/projects abound but this is nearly get on and ride. Got too many KLRs and no place to work on them, so time to thin the herd. $1850.

Is your KLR still available?
Is price negotiable?
Where is it located?
I am interested?

Thanks,
Jesse

Had forgotten I had posted these bikes here and kinda abandoned the sell aspect. Have been riding this one occasionally and I really like it.

Since Geomoto was nice enough to ask here and in a PM, the least I can do is update here as well as the reply to him. To answer the questions, the Rat Barbie is still available, it’s located in Canyon Lake, Texas right between Austin and San Antonio and I will discuss the price with interested parties. Shipping it is a great reason to jiggle the price a bit.

Hope everyone here on this excellent site has a happy, prosperous new year! Ride ‘em and smile!

I got her today. BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL. Runs great. Mark was a pleasure to deal with and UShip worked out great. $300 for 1200 miles. My son "was" going to ride her home but an ice storm put the kabash on that so we shipped her. Probably cost less than the ride with hotels and gas and food and beer and women (he's young).

I think she was raised so gotta lower. I barely touch tip toes and wife not there.

I am soooo happy.

Eddie

I might have another one I'd sell in the Parts Closet but no guarantees. Will give it a look and see. If not, will keep you in mind if I find another one. Thanks for looking!
