I love math, so unless someone is faster than me, I will give it a go:
1 mile = 1.61 kilometers
1 Gallon = 3.7854 liters

Therefore, you have asked for:
55mpg
50mpg
45mpg
60mpg

Let's start with 55mpg:
This equates to 55(1.61) kilometers per gallon, or 88.5 kilometers per gallon.
We know there are 3.7854 liters per gallon, so in 88.5km you will burn 3.7854 liters.
divide 88.5 by 3.7854 and you have 23.393 km/liter.

Now let's make a chart
55mpg = 23.393km/liter or a ratio of 2.351km/liter:1Mile/gallon

50(1.61) = 80.5km/3.7854 = 21.266 km/liter. This ratio equates to 2.3511:1 again.

So we now know that we can simply take your miles/gallon, and divide by 2.3511 to come up with km/liter
50mpg = 21.266km/liter
55mpg = 23.393km/liter
45mpg = 45 divided by 2.3511 or 19.140km/liter
60mpg = 60/2.3511 or 25.520km/liter

From here, we can easily calculate the answer to the question you ask:
Take the km/liter and divide that number into 100
50mpg = 21.266km/l. So to drive 100km would take 100/21.266l or 4.702 l/100km
55mpg = 23.393km/l. So we have 100/23.393 or 4.275 l/100km
45mpg = 100km/19.140 or 5.225 l/100km
60mpg = 100km/25.520 or 3.918 l/100km

Sorry there is no direct ratio for mpg to liters/100km...
But now you know HOW to do it for any mpg.

Hope this helps,

KZLR

edit: looks like someone was faster...damn you, google! (at least my math was correct)

I created a .xls file for keeping track of fuel-usage in miles/US-gallons, miles/Cad-Gallons, litres/100km ... if you want, I can email a copy to you to use, just fire a PM to me with your email address

km x .6 to miles
100 km/ hr x .6= 60 mph
1 us gallon =3.65 liters
