Count me in on the "visit shane". I take my bike apart alot but am a little nervous about valve adjustment.

Went on a 500 mile ride last wkend. Cambridge to Duluth, scenic 61 along north shore, Silver bay hwy 1 to Ely, then virginia and back. Killer ride.

FKF,

You, me, and Todd have to go for a ride when Todd gets his bike back from the dealer....

Shane, several of us are conspiring to come down and keep you busy....

My bike is NOT at the dealer yet. They are contacting Kawasaki to see what they recommend. Summer is going fast. They are forecasting sunny and 88 for this coming Sunday. How about then?

Todd,

I am in for Sunday if you and or others local-Minn. wanna make a day ride somewhere, count me in for 300-450 miles if required. The destination not as important as getting out and riding, stop somewhere unique and eat, etc.

You and I are to the north, but I am open to meeting in the a.m. most anywhere on Sunday to start.

I am fine with riding blacktop and dirt roads, but anything more off-road than gravel, I gotta be careful, I am at 5,400 miles on my stock back tire. Gotta order some rubber soon...

Sounds like we have the makins for a small KLR gang for Sunday.

Sorry you can't go, Shane... we will continue to talk behind your back about all the work your going to do on our bikes..... (and teach us stuff)...

Maybe we call you Eagle-Shane?

Ps: I am ordering a set of tires soon.... I will whistle when they come in, and will set something up with you for mounting....

: )

I don't know if my hands or balls can take 300-450 miles with the vibrations. I may have to stop every so often.

Where should we meet and when?

There is a McDonalds in Princeton we could meet at, or there is a convience store at the corner of Hwy 47 and Hwy 95, or ?? About 10am?

Thoughts?

Wow.... extreme information overload....

I have a beaded cab driver seat you can borrow if you like....

There are 3 or 4 that are interested at this point, just talked to yet another guy from uptown and waiting to hear back.

Sounds like a ride north is in order, if you wanna swing up my way we can head together on back roads towards Cambridge to meet FKF.....

I'm fine with frequent stops.

Mac's in Princeton, or if it's just you, me, and FKF, we can cruise up to Cambridge and pick him up at Mac's up there...

no worries, you can try my bike to see if it vibes any less. I have a Sargent seat, rox anti vibe risers.

I think part of the vibe thing is solved if a guy can stay out of that 65-70 mph stuff. Amazing how much better it is just 10 MPH less, and you try to stick to secondary roads...

Anyone that is interested in a day trip on SUNDAY, AUGUST 29, about 5 of us have committed to getting together. You are welcome to join us.

MEET: Princeton, Minnesota McDonald's at 10:00 a.m. Sunday.

Have a quick bite, look at a map. Someone suggested a ride to Dennis Kirk's at least as part of the loop, we can discuss. Anyway, just a day ride generally north, stop somewhere later on for lunch, and head back.

Come on and join in the madness.

Gonna be hot, wear something skimpy.

I just wanted to say thanks to thevanrat for setting up the ride yesterday, and thanks to everyone that came. It was nice to meet you all. Had a great time. We need to do again.

Paul, thanks for letting me try your bike. I think I now know that what I am experiencing is normal.

Thanks again!
