Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, and are getting ready for Santa to bring them new farkles for their KLR's, _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ BUT...

It's only 137 days until we ride!

So remember to ask Santa or Mrs. Claus for those new tires, hand grips, 685 kit, foot pegs, or tools to finish putting your bike back together (Jon!).

Yeah, Santa's giving my place a pass this year.

He told me there's nothing left to farkle.

Geez, thanks Haldor...

Like I said earlier... extremely slight chance of attendance.

It would take me MINIMUM of two days to get there... Three would be more realistic.

Although... one day travel down to Napa, pick up Campfire... Hmmm...

I'd still need to take about 10 days to make it happen... just to be safe... although it technically could be done 2 days down, get in Friday night, ride Saturday, leave out Sunday, two days back... that's... a whole lot of riding in 5 days... possible, but not likely... sooo.. yeah 10 days.

Oregon Coast, Hwy 1 & 101 in April?

You could do it.

I mean it's only 1,300 miles with awesome scenery and stuff.

Come on, you know you want to.

If I did it in October, I could do it in April..

And yes, I DO want to.

There's only a few dozen obstacles in my path.

*sigh* We'll see.

I'm just expecting some bashing from this group on this one.

Since my daughter moved back from Arizona, we don't get down there as often as we used to. I need to pick up some stuff from the relatives on this trip down and might.......... might, haul the bike down in the trailer.
So if I show up trailering the bike in from NorCal and not riding down the entire way ,will I get more or less harassment?

Might even be camping in Death Valley for a couple of days this year on the way.

Yep, I would say that you have made your bones. Come on down any way you choose and a few days in Death Valley is a great idea. Let me know if you do decide to tack that on and I will try and meet up with you. There is so much of DV that I have yet to ride.

No worries.... Just get there safely.

However, I always see Harley's on trailers... Guys dressed up like pirates... You know that sorta thing goes along with trailering a bike to places...

I'm sorry all for being offline for so long. Quit CAT and started my own show running a dump truck. Been so dang busy that I nearly forgot about this little shindig. Talked to Gunsite and everything is perfect from their end for the campground. One of these days I'll actually get to the post office and ship my cylinder to the Mike, of Eagle fame. And get this crusty dusty bike back in one piece. Hard to fathom that we're only a couple months out.
