how many people are waiting for this wrench? I tried to do my balancer lever replacement today but the flywheel is on way, way too tight for the improvised holder wrench I made. I refuse to pay $50 for a one use tool....so can I get this wrench at some point? how do I sign up....assuming the last user actually sent it?

OK I made my own wrench..found a nice 1 1/4 wrench at the gun/pawn shop for $5

I cut it and rewelded it with a little dogleg in it....it worked great.

if wrenchscalibur never shows up, let me know. you can borrow frankenwrenchscalibur

By the sounds of things, Wilson probably didn't have a center punch kicking around. I'd throw two on there, one for Handmeawrench, and one for Wilson.

This, too me, exemplifies the true essence of the KLR spirit: A man too angry, drunk and pig-headed to just sit around, thumbing his @ss while his bike is in jeopardy, yet generous (and drunk) enough to lend out a tool that he bastardized with his own two hands... It is the story of my own life. Whipit, if you get anywhere near Orlando, look me up. I've got cold beers in the fridge for you!

Waldo, Where are you in Orlando, we should get together I am just down 50 on the coast, T'ville.

Anxiously awaiting the delivery of the mighty wrench. Should be here at the best time, just befor the weekend. My oldest daughter turns 21 tomorrow, should be a big party night. Really dont want to tear down the bike with a hangover.

I will let you all know how it goes.

Didn't get back out to the garage, so put a couple of magic marker dots on WC, racedogs, will you whack them for us when you bless WC with your mark?

Wrenchcaliber will leave the arena today bound for it's next gig in Florida. Long live Wrenchcaliber....

By the way, I missed the fact that WC INCLUDES a flywheel puller tool, so future acolytes, don't buy one unless you want your own...

Haha, time waits for no man... I was anxious of course to 'git 'er done' and thoughtful about 'the next guy'.... SRV said we were put on this earth to help each other... I try to keep that in mind... succeed occasionally.....

DONE!!!!!!! Just a little over an hour and she is purring like a kitten, quieter then before and leak free. The mighty wrench will go out tomorrow morning, leaving Florida and heading to Oregon to do her work. Whacked her three times, once for myself and once each for Jan and Wilson. Time to RIDE!

NICE WORK
Mine took about an hour as well.
Very nice slideshow! That almost doubles as a quick-and-easy write-up on it's own!

I'm kinda sad that I didn't get to use Wrenchscaliber. But then again, the noble wrench inspired me to fab one of my own, which I'm sure will change many Maine doo's in its time.
