Default KLX250s raising links?

Where'd you get them?
Read some bad stuff about Burkhart cycle for a source.

Eagle Mike make some custom length links for the KLX250?

I'm picking up a KLX250 to join my KLR650 in the garage. But I already know it needs the links and some preload on the fork springs.

BUMP

No one has put raising links on their KLX 250?

Has anyone made a set of raising links on their own for any bike?

I got mine from Burkhart. They were a little slow to ship but have worked out just fine. I maxed out the front triples and added a little preload to the rear. Very pleased so far.

How did you end up contacting them?

I have emailed twice and called twice, just to inquire about them. No response. I want to know if they're in stock and give them my money, guess they're not to interested in taking a phone order. Seems like they just want you to checkout online and not have to deal with you.

Ride your KLX offroad much? Big Bore Kit?

No internal engine mods. Just air box mod, DJ kit, full FMF exhaust, rack on back with a 1 gallon Rotopax. We have a 250 mile ride this weekend from North Texas up into Oklahoma and back. First big ride this year.

Ordered the MSR XR650L shifter this morn from Amazon. It's slightly longer than stock to help fitment with boots on. Trying to decide on tires for this year. Thinking some DOT trial tires. Almost all our rides are pretty dry.

UPDATE:

I ended up using KLX300R stock links, pre-2006.

Stock KLX250S Links: 119.5mm
Stock KLX300R Links: 117mm

It's just 2.5mm difference, but the rear of the bike was raised just shy of an inch. This enabled me to set for a little more sag, which I like. It also changed the way the shock performed further through it's stroke, the shorter link makes the shock progression "ramp up" faster through the stroke.

Anyone looking for an easy way to raise the back end of a KLX250S, you can find the KLX300R links on EBAY for about $25. They are a direct swap. I did have the KLX300R bolts with the links as well. The KLX300R bolts are about .25" longer, this is needed as the links are just a bit thicker.

Now I have a set of stock KLX250S links, 119.5mm long. Free to a good home.

Thanks for this. I was thinking about adding some raising links on my ride to work this morning. Sounds like a good route to go.
