Default Roll Call on different Wind Screens

I've seen a lot of aftermarket posts for things like windscreens/bags, etc. It would be nice to have a thread or a stickey with pics and comments about each type. So, what I'm hoping for in this thread is people who have purchased aftermarket windscreens to post a pic here along with their impressions and price paid and hopefully we'll build up a good resource. If it works well, maybe later another thread for bags?

Howdy neighbor! After trying out the Kawi tall windshield, I installed the Laminar Lip (it has to be installed on the shorter, stock windshield). This has been the answer to the wind noise and buffet problems I was having. I've been happy with it. Bugs like it, too.

I can also attest to the Laminar lips perforamnce. It's perfect for the price. Plus I like the looks of it.

ZG Touring Shield works for me. About 3-4" taller than stock and keep most of the buffeting down. I even got caught in the rain and only my helmet, boots and sleaves got wet.

Only thing I don't really like is the color. I should have gotten the clear or LIGHT smoked one and not the dark one.

Great thread, could the members with the Laminar Lips please post their heights? It will be a great help to guys like me who are in the market for a windsheild upgrade. Thanks.

And do all 4 of you have the Lip mounted to the stock windsheild?

So does anybody have a take on which is best.
The lip with the stock or the lip with the 4" tall kawi. I have both and their site shows that they sell both. Thanks for any help

6'1", plus i'm fairly broad shouldered. it's mounted to the stock shield. if i had a negative thing to say about it, those damn ugly foil stickers they use to cover the velcro tabs. i'm not sure what's wrong with using black in that situation

I'm using the ZG Sport Touring shield. Better than stock, but does not take the airflow over the top of the helmet. However, to do that the screen would need to be so tall it would be awkward off road. Very happy overall. Looks great on a black bike.

Cayman,

THAT is very helpful. I have a nude black that I'll be buying the HT kit for in the next day or so. I was thinking double bubble, do you think the touring is that much better? BTW, is that light smoke or dark smoke?

I've not ridden with the double bubble, but from what I have been able to tell from other posters it does not provide as much coverage as the ST screen. From a looks standpoint, I like the ST just as much.

I have the light smoke tint. The dark is nearly black and difficult to see through.

The DB is in between Stock and the ST. The wind hits the top of my helmet and my shoulders get wet when it rains. My guess is that you are correct, but I have never ridden the ST.

I have a Cee Baileys 23 3/4 and it seems to work nicely. I am 6'3". I have a flat seat and recently put an EM fork brace on and lowered the front fender. The entire comibination has helped greatly. I never wear earplugs as the buffeting has gone away.
