Default Cruise Control

I am looking for a cruise control. Anyone have any experience with these?

Have the vista on both my bikes (klr650 & RoadStar 1700) and work great on each. For $33, you can't go wrong

I'm a long time user/lover of Throttlemeister however on the KLR I use the $10 throttle rocker as I have wrap around hand guards.

I use a Vista Cruise, $25 made for a dual throttle cable Honda, NOT the universal one with the black bar. It works fantastic and allows handguards to go in the end of your bars.

Simple install, you have to mod your throttle tube but there are clear instructions on Marknet.

A small bungie cord works great. I always keep one of the small loop ones with the rubber ball on the end in my tank bag. Of course the ones above look nice but the bungie is less than a buck and you probably already have one. I just wrap it around the hand gauard and the grip and I'm good to go.

Vista Cruise here too. I want to be able to completely take my hand off the bars (gasp!), hence the cramp buster type is out for me. Gets used DAILY.

UK1, this looks perfect for the KLR. Do you have it on your KLR? Did you have to move or adjust anything on the handlebars to get proper clearance? Did you need the extra silicone ring they talk about on the website?

Thanks for your recommendation.

In the limited riding I've done with the Kaoko cruise control I have found it easy to use and hand guard compatible.

Yep, bought the Roadie new in '06 and have 65,000 trouble free miles on her. I'm looking forward to when the odometer turns over. My wife now just accepts me and the fact I keep putting more bikes in the garage. My other bikes include a 2003 KDX 200 and a 2007 KD250F. By summer's end I'll have a 2011 KLX250 in there too.

Good to know I'm not the only one out there that rides a Roadie and a KLR. When ask which one I prefer I always answer, I enjoy the Road* but have fun on the KLR.

I also have a 2005 Roadstar and a KLR. I seem to be riding the KLR a bit more these days. In the winter the KLR is the main ride. Currently getting the Roadie ready for the summer long rides.....throttlemiester(sp) on the KLR and so far a bungie on the Roadie.......

I'll ride my Road* on super windy days and on my annual Central Texas and Hill Country vacation. Otherwise it's the KLR as often as I can.

The k-mod works great, see thread. Think he said 43 cents worth. Actually a fun mod to do too.

I just ordered one yesterday. Got an email saying it had been shipped that evening. Now that's what I call service. I'll let you know how it works. I ordered the small one without the extra ring.
