Default Bajaworx KLR650 Dakar Windshield Review

A few weeks ago I received a pre-production release version of this windshield from Gerald at bajaworx https://www.bajaworx.com/dakar-windshield.html.

I was going to post some pics but figured it was a bit redundant since several others have already provided a review and posted pics.

My review:

wind protection: Best I've had. Most of the time I only feel headwinds from the elbows down. Nice. It also helps prevent front-end wobble at high speeds as it feels like it pushes the front-end down a bit more than the OEM windshield.

rain protection: Pretty good as well. Water does occasionally wrap around the shield, but probably not any more than any other shield I've had.

Durability:
When I first picked it up and held both the OEM shield and this shield in my hands, I thought the dakar shield felt thinner, but I think it might be more because the OEM shield has a lip along the top and makes it feel sturdier. Initially I was a little concerned that it might vibrate at high speeds, but that didn't happen even when riding at speeds at or above 75 mph.

Looks: It looks bad-a$$. I also like that the bottom part is darkened.

I'm still waiting for production model run, but have been really enjoying the windshield.
